![]() The Wavecontroller 7092 controls the pump in such a way that switching on and off corresponds to a certain frequency. The Wavecontroller 7092 stops the pump after a short time the water returns into the housing of the Wavebox. It pumps the water out of the box at a high speed. A special Wavebox pump is used as a wave generating pump, which belongs to the family of the Turbelle stream pumps. Nano Wavebox and Wavebox can be fitted in any corner of the aquarium. In large tanks, a Wavebox 6215 and a Wavebox Extension 6215.50 should be fitted, the latter being a Wavebox 6215 without Wavecontroller 7092 which is used as an extension. All of the water in the tank is in movement, which means that water also laps around areas behind stones very well. At very little power consumption, an enormous water movement is produced very efficiently. The resonance frequency is set on the Wavecontroller it is the frequency, at which the waves can reach the maximum height in the aquarium. Nano Wavebox and Wavebox are controlled by means of Wavecontroller 7092 or Multicontroller 7096, which use the energy of the waves in the resonance frequency of the tank in an ideal manner. They produce oscillating waves which permit waves and water movement almost identical with reef zones. I think I'm going to see if I can find a way to contact Tunze directly and ask about this problem.TUNZE Nano Wavebox and Wavebox are suitable wave generators for all reef biotopes. Could just be fluke that they worked briefly when I "cleaned" them. As I said, I had the first one crap out giving me no flow out of my 6215, and now this. ![]() I wonder if they've just made a bad batch of power supplies. ![]() I'd have to confirm that when I get home though. I've only used the new ones and I'm pretty sure that they are all running on the 18V diodes. I was under the impression that any of the 3 diodes can be used depending on if you want more or less flow. ![]() Multimeter showed it bouncing all over the place. In my case the voltage output is not steady. Not sure what the consequence is of using the wrong one. The new style and old style power supplies use diodes that look interchangeable but they are not the same. you usually run them at 18 v but for wavrboxes you want 24 v and you can step them down if you want too). I don't know if I have the wrong diode (for voltage. I had some similar issues and after replacing a motor block and impeller, found that it was the power supply. I'm not worried about the used stuff that got soaked)? Did Tunze build a bad batch of pumps or what? 'they're bullet proof'Īm I just cursed? Is anyone else out there experiencing stuff like this (the new stuff. I had read everywhere on here that 'you can't kill Tunzes'. 3 failures already? More than $1500 in purchase price? Maybe I'll switch back to Koralia! WTF!? The oldest peice of Tunze equipment in the tank is no more than 2 months old. Applied power, it pulsed twice and crapped out again. I cursed and grumbled, took the pump out, took it apart, 'cleaned it' (nothing in there that needed cleaning IMO) and put it back in. I could see it twitch everytime that the wave controller pulsed, but it wouldn't spin. Today, I wake up from my deep night shift slumber, go downstairs and one of the 6215s is not spinning. I finally find time to take it apart, give it a bit of a cleaning (not that there was anything inside of it) and it's working again. Fast forward a week or 2 and one of the 6105 heads is no longer spinning. Shortly after recieving the 6105's, one of the power supplies crapped out and Tunze replaced it under warranty. OK, so I gave up on used equipment, and bought 2 of the new style waveboxes. Not all too worried about this portion of my problems, but I mentioned it anyways. I picked up 2 used tunze waveboxes (old style) and am pretty sure that they malfunctioned somehow spilling water all over the floor, and the wavebox electronics. Maybe I knock German vehicle engineering too much and this is karma biting me in the butt. Well, I'm slowly growing a dislike for my Tunze equipment.

We discuss our findings and link the micro-institutional logics to broader macro-level logics of aesthetic capitalism and spectacle. These three rationales concomitantly and decisively structured the event’s public performance and turned the idea of linking art to activism into the spectacle of a human zoo. Drawing from empirical vignettes, we identify three institutional rationales that coexisted, clashed, and mutually displaced this logic, reaffirming rather than disrupting the idea that art has to preserve some distance from social reality, that neo-anarchist activism should prefigure social reality in the here and now, and that the configuration of the above through the organization’s politics of visibility that promotes the spectacle of the Berlin Biennale and itself as a brand. We explore the outcome of curators’ attempts to disrupt existing practices by introducing the logic of activism. In this chapter, we draw from ethnographic observation of the 7th Berlin Biennale (2012) that took place in the context of a rising anti-capitalist discourse reflected in the Occupy movement and the movement of the squares. Rather than acting as mere aesthetic containers, these shows aspire to be socially relevant by raising questions about capitalism, colonialism, inequality, environmental devastation, and gender imbalances. In recent decades, the biennial has become the most widespread mode of showcasing contemporary art. ![]() ![]() Fully compatible with factory Traxxas and aftermarket tires, the wheels also feature 12 mm hexes and the same offset as Slash 2WD rear wheels. If it pitches too much, you will land on the nose and crash the truck. When the rear-end bottoms out on the jump face, usually the truck will pitch forward coming off the jump. If you tighten the springs down a bit, the suspension should stiffen up helping to keep your truck from bottoming out on the face of the jump. If the nose of the truck is dropping down when launching off the jump, you can adjust the spring preload to help launch the truck on a flatter trajectory. Minos though did not want to lose the services of the master craftsman, and so rather than being executed, Daedalus and Icarus were instead locked away in a tall tower (or in other sources father and son were locked within the Labyrinth). Initially though, King Minos was more angry about the help given by Daedalus than he was about the intrigue of his own daughter Ariadne. Theseus was thus able to slay the Minotaur, and soon the Greek hero and Ariadne were fleeing from Crete. To aide Theseus, Ariadne had enlisted the help of Daedalus, the man who had designed the Labyrinth beneath the palace at Knossos, and so Theseus entered the domain of the Minotaur with a ball of twine and a sword. Ariadne, the daughter of King Minos, though, had spied Theseus as he arrived upon the island, and had fallen in love with the Greek hero. Theseus was due to be one of the Athenian youths scheduled to be sacrificed to the Minotaur as part of the tribute paid to King Minos by Athens. The fall from grace for Daedalus, and the downfall of King Minos, was to follow several years later, for the Athenian hero Theseus was destined to arrive upon Crete. During the winter of 1664, Hals was starving to death, and he had to apply for “public charity”. Berger explains that art historians have purposefully “mystified” his paintings, giving the example of a reading of Hal’s Regents of the Old Men’s Almshouse. I have seen his portraits of wealthy citizens so many times at the Rijks, yet not a single time is his background mentioned. When reading John Berger’s Ways of Seeing, I was shocked to find out that THE Frans Hals struggled so much through poverty. What I found funny nonetheless is how none of the other paintings have a historical context since a great majority of the subjects depicted are members of the government, military, or, just, the bourgeoisie. ![]() Some of them try to historicize the paintings by explaining how the painter, the event, or the figures depicted were connected to slavery. Took them more than 200 years, but better than nothing- I suppose. In my visit, I noticed that lately, the museum has added white boxes next to some of their paintings with the title of X and slavery (example: the church and slavery), in some late and vague attempt to incorporate the dark history of colonization and slavery of the Netherlands. One narrative that the museum has been trying to correct is that of the history between the museum and slavery. The whole reason I was there was because a month prior I read John Berger’s Ways of Seeing and its analysis of the history of art and class made me wonder what overarching narratives museums like the Rijks tell. I quickly listened to my audio guide hoping to find more information, but all of the explanations were limited to “symbolisms” of death, and the textures of the paintings. She explained that 1) to show the opulence of the Dutch empire, most of the food shown in these paintings was imported, and 2) that during the Golden Age, each Dutch upper-middle-class household had at least 1 of these paintings. ![]() The last time I was at the Rijksmuseum, I overheard an actual tour guide share two juicy facts about Dutch still life. |
